The Nebraska Supreme Court designated Juneteenth National Independence Day as an annual court holiday following the 2022 passage of LB29, marking the occasion as a state holiday. While Juneteenth is generally celebrated on June 19, because that date falls on a Sunday in 2022, Juneteenth will be observed on Monday, June 20.
