Kelly Riley Installed as President of the Association for Conflict Resolution’s Board of Directors
The Association for Conflict Resolution’s (ACR) 2020 conference, held virtually on October 23, concluded with a member meeting where ACR Board President Michael Rust cut the word “Elect” from Kelly Riley’s badge ribbon to signify that she had become President of the ACR Board of Directors.
Nebraska’s Office of Dispute Resolution Director, Kelly Riley has served on the ACR’s Board as an officer for five years. Before becoming President-Elect in 2019, she served as Treasurer for three years.
ACR is an international professional organization that enhances the practice and public understanding of conflict resolution. ACR gives voice to the choices for quality conflict resolution and their vision is for all people to know their choices for conflict resolution. In 2005, in collaboration with the American Bar Association and the American Arbitration Association, ACR published the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators. In 2010, the ACR Ethics Committee published the ACR Ethical Principles.
ACR is celebrating 20 years of serving mediators, arbitrators, educations, ombuds, public policy facilitators, eldercaring coordinators, and other conflict resolution practitioners. ACR’s resources include webinars, an annual conference, two publications – ACResolutions and Conflict Resolution Quarterly, a peer-reviewed academic journal, a partnership with the JAMS Foundation for a grant initiative for students and youth, and much more.
