Language Access Celebrates Interpreter Appreciation Day with Free Ethics Training for Court Service Professionals

In honor of Interpreter Appreciation Day, Language Access provided its employees, interpreter partners, and Judicial Branch approved bilingual employees a free 1.5CEU ethics training titled A Legal Encounter A to Z: A Guide to Professionalism. This annual celebration is an opportunity to recognize the team’s commitment to language access and the full participation of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Limited English Proficient individuals who engage daily with the courts and probation offices.  Amy Prenda, Deputy Administrator for Court Services, opened the training by welcoming the 96 individuals who attended and thanking them for their service on behalf of the Judicial Branch. Language Access considers the event an overwhelming success and hopes to make free educational offerings a yearly event.
