Lori Miskimins Clerk Magistrate for Dawes and Sioux Counties Retired August 7

Lori Miskimins Clerk Magistrate for Dawes and Sioux County Courts retired effective August 7, 2020. She celebrated 20 years with the court system on August 1, 2020.

Miskimins leaves a legacy of cooperation and positivity in her courts and throughout the 12th Judicial District, according to Trial Court Services Director Sheryl Connolly. “She was instrumental, with former Clerk of District Court Sharon Harrison, in the remodeling of the Dawes County court facilities, which, in addition to sharing a courtroom, combined the district court and county court’s office space. The redesign increased the efficiency of both courts.” Connolly continued, “Lori and her staff were always ready to offer assistance to neighboring courts.”

In addition to her responsibilities in Dawes and Sioux Counties, Miskimins was an active member of the County Court Forms Committee, helping develop resources for use in county courts across the state.

County Court Judge Russ Harford noted, “Lori has been my clerk magistrate for the full 11 years I’ve been on the bench; her knowledge and work ethic have been invaluable.”

Harford has appointed Dianne Lana, Clerk Magistrate for Scotts Bluff and Banner Counties to serve as interim Clerk Magistrate.
