Midwest Nebraska Problem-Solving Court participates in “The Art of Recovery” Project.

Through the month of June, art created by participants in the Midwest Nebraska Problem-Solving Court is being displayed at the Prairie Art Center in North Platte Nebraska.  The project was made possible thanks to Corey Burns, Jesus Tena, Jr., Claude E. Berreckman, Jr., Brennon Malcom, Kurt R. McBride, Mark McKeone, Claire Bazata, Brian Davis, and George Vinton.

The Midwest Nebraska Problem-Solving Court (MNPSC) has been operating in Dawson County under the direction of the Honorable Judge James E. Doyle, IV for over 10 years and in Lincoln County for the past 7 years.  As of January 2020, the Honorable Judge Michael Piccolo joined the court and presides over the cases in Lincoln County.

The MNPSC is founded on the premise that many people who suffer from substance use disorders are arrested for behavior related to their drug and/or alcohol use, and that but for those disorders, they may be able to live law-abiding productive lives.
