Awarded to: Vickie Prince, Pierce County District Court  

Vickie is an experienced leader who is always just a phone call or email away whenever anyone needs help. She has twice been honored as Everyday Hero, first in October 2020 as part of the District Court Jury Team and again in December 2021 when she stepped in with other District Court Clerks to help a neighboring county in need of emergency staffing due to scheduling conflicts. She is an active member of the Clerk of District Court Association and has served as secretary-treasurer, vice president and president. She is currently the Judicial Branch Education liaison and sits on the legislative and education committee for the Clerk of District Court Association. She has also served on Nebraska Association of County Officials boards and served as a Northeast District NACO officer.

The Marjorie Schaffer Memorial Award recognizes commendable performance by a clerk of a district court. Recipients exhibit exemplary leadership, effective guidance of change, achievement of sustainable results, or strength in coaching and mentoring.
