Awarded to: Shannon Ontiveros, Probation Officer in Hall County Probation

The Ladonna Snell Memorial Award recognizes the exemplary performance of a probation officer. The award is presented to officers with a record of exceptional efficiency, superior performance, and dedication beyond standard expectations.

Shannon Ontiveros has been a tremendous asset to Hall County, as she shares the accumulation of knowledge that over ten years in recovery support has lent her. She focuses on behavior change and recovery with her clients, teaching them strategies to use when they struggle. Her natural ability to forge relationships – while providing accountability - propels her clients to make tremendous recovery steps. In addition to working with clients, she also trains other branch staff and participates in her office’s Culture Committee.
