Prenda Named Nebraska Deputy State Court Administrator
Corey Steel, State Court Administrator for the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation, announces the appointment of Ms. Amy Prenda as Nebraska’s new Deputy State Court Administrator for Court Services. Prenda will promote statewide administrative practices and procedures, oversee the operation of court programs, and take a primary role in strategic planning for all levels of court within Nebraska’s Judicial Branch.
The appointment is effective June 10, 2019.
Prenda has worked in high level administrative positions within the legal community since graduating from Creighton University School of Law in 1994. She most recently held the position of Director of Continuing Legal Education and Editor of the Nebraska Lawyer for the Nebraska State Bar Association where she was responsible for delivery of educational programs and communication of association services and information for lawyers across the state.
Her past work includes serving as legal counsel to the Nebraska Legislature’s Appropriation and Judiciary committees followed by a variety of positions with organizations directly related to the Nebraska Unicameral. In 2016 and 2017, Prenda served as Justice Reinvestment Implementation Coordinator, working with all three branches of government to establish justice reform through innovative programming. She is a highly experienced project leader with the ability to convene disparate groups to work toward a common goal.
