In Recognition of Pretrial, Probation and Parole Supervision Week
During National Probation and Parole Week, July 21-27, 2019, Chief Justice Mike Heavican recognized the work that probation professionals do through the Nebraska Judicial branch for our communities.
In an email to the probation system, Chief Heavican thanked probation staff for their dedication, service and all that they do to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities. His note stated, “The mission of Nebraska Probation has never been more important. Probation has been charged with producing more investigations, supervising more people, and providing more services than ever before. You have responded with determination, drive, and a desire for excellence - and your efforts are delivering positive results. For that, you should be congratulated.”
Probation Administrator Deb Minardi said she was especially proud of the work that happens here in Nebraska by the many dedicated men and women of probation.
In honor of National Probation and Parole Week, the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation created and recorded a special public service announcement to commemorate the important work done by community corrections professionals to keep communities safe. The public service announcement ran on five separate radio stations covering the entire state of Nebraska.
