Registration Open Now for Court Interpreter Orientation April 7 – 8, 2018, in Lincoln, Nebraska
The first step toward Nebraska Court Interpreter certification is completion of the Nebraska Judicial Branch’s Interpreter Orientation, an intensive two-day workshop that is offered each fall and spring. The next Court Interpreter Orientation is April 7-8, 2018, at 5001 Central Park Dr., Lincoln, Nebraska. A registration form is also attached to this email for your convenience. You must register and pay for the workshop by March 26, 2018.
To successfully complete Interpreter Orientation and be eligible to sit for the Interpreter Written Exam, registrants must attend and participate in all sessions, both Saturday and Sunday.
- Travel expenses, lodging arrangements and meals are the responsibility of the registrant.
- Guests/children are not allowed to attend Interpreter Orientation.
- Recording Interpreter Orientation classes/exercises/discussions is not permitted.
- Events are subject to cancellation or fee changes due to budgetary constraints or low enrollment.
After completion of Orientation, your next step is an Interpreter Written Exam, which will be offered May 11 in Omaha, and May 23, in Lincoln. If you score at least 80% on the written exam, you will be eligible to take the three part Interpreter Oral Exam.
