Retired Chief Judge Rett Inbody Hall of Fame Inductee
Retired Chief Judge of the Nebraska Court of Appeals, Rett Inbody, was inducted into the Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal Hall of Fame during their October 2021 annual conference.
Inbody was honored for his extensive contributions to the Council during his tenure as a Nebraska Jurist. The Council’s resolution reads: “WHEREAS Everett O. Inbody is a respected member of the Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal. He has provided extraordinary service to this organization in various capacities. He was the Resolution-Historian Chair from 2013 until 2021. He was a member of the Annual Conference Committee from 2018 until 2020. He was the Coordinator for the Great Educational Moments (GEMS) program from 2019 until 2021. He was the Chair of the Retirement Committee from 2018 until 2020, and he has served on the Administration of Justice Committee from 2007 until 2021, serving as Chair from 2017 until 2021.”
Inbody continues active participation in the Council, serving on several committees, and is an excellent ambassador for Nebraska and the Court of Appeals.
In accepting the Hall of Fame Award from Council President Stephen Powell (in photograph), Inbody thanked the Council for his recognition and included a word of thanks to his wife Patti for her support over the years.
The annual Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal conference, held in Boston, MA, hosted approximately 70 judges from intermediate appellate courts from across the United States.
