Ron Werkmeister, Clerk Magistrate and Deputy Clerk of District Court of Frontier County retired July 15, 2020, after over 50 years of service to the Judicial Branch.

In 2017 Chief Justice Mike Heavican traveled to Stockville to present Werkmeister with a Lifetime Achievement award for his dedication to Nebraska’s Judicial Branch. When handing Werkmeister his award, the Chief Justice remarked, “Teamwork is everything, and no one personifies teamwork as much as you. Thank you, Ron.” 

Linda Smith has been appointed as acting Clerk Magistrate for the court.
