Service Provider Information System Developed Through NSCIT
A significant project for the Administrative Office Information Technology Division is the newly developed Service Provider Information System. In October, IT went live with the new registration application, in which both agencies and individual providers are actively registering to provide services to probation-involved clients. The Provider Information System also includes the Administrative Portal, which allows our Provider Network Assistants to review and approve applications accordingly. Proper eligibility requirements are verified during registration. The process, although more in-depth, is streamlined to facilitate best the collection of data relevant to the provision of services, using the service definitions as a basis. Additionally, the External User Portal was made available for approved agencies and individual providers to manage their profiles, identify relationships, and enable updates accordingly.
In January, the remainder of the system will be implemented. Additional features include rate management, episode of care functionality, client eligibility for payment, and report components.
With the January updates, the ability to issue Vouchers out of NPACS will be updated to utilize the new Service Provider Information System, which includes notifications regarding eligibility during voucher issuance and a new provider search mechanism to better connect clients to providers throughout the state.
