Tamara Mosby Appointed County Court Judge in Fourth Judicial District

Tamara T. Mosby of Omaha was appointed county court judge for the Fourth Judicial District of Nebraska (Douglas County) on February 13, 2025.

According to Gov. Pillen’s office, Mosby’s 20-year career includes working as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. She started in New York, where she gained experience as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn and worked in two law offices, including one that specialized in insurance cases. Mosby was self-employed as an attorney in Omaha for four years before joining the Douglas County Public Defender’s office in 2018.

The vacancy was due to the resignation of Judge Darryl R. Lowe.
