Tech Equipment Installs at Halfway Point Before End of 2023
In Nebraska's trial courtrooms, the Supreme Court technology upgrade project is moving at a steady pace. As of the halfway point, the initiative is proceeding smoothly, thanks to the collaborative efforts of local court judges, staff, and the contract install team with CTI.
To enhance the efficiency of the process, a minor procedural change has been introduced. Courts were now asked to wait for a minimum of 30 days after CTI's system installation before submitting any change requests. This is aimed at consolidating requests and avoiding multiple technician visits.
During this initial 30-day period, courts are asked to compile a list of change requests and send them to NebraskaCourtHelp@CTI.com, with a copy to Jennifer.rasmussen@nejudicial.gov. They are also asked to specify the county and level of court (county/district/separate juvenile).
Additional change order requests submitted after the initial period will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, considering factors like funding, equipment availability, and staffing resources.
The change order process is different from reporting system failures or issues that hinder court operations, which should be immediately communicated to OmahaService@CTI.com, with a copy to Jennifer.rasmussen@nejudicial.gov.
The Administrative Office thanks those who have participated in the upgrade and appreciates the patience of those yet to be installed.
