Trial Judges Meet for Summer Conferences

Nebraska’s judges gathered this month to attend the first of their biannual conferences.

The District Court Judges’ Summer Conference was held June 8-10 in North Platte. Invited speakers included Brian Bangs (C.P.A.), R. Collin Mangrum (Creighton Law Professor), Timothy Hruza (J.D.), Andy Barry (J.D.), attorneys Linsey Camplin and Annie Brown, Bob Denton (Deputy Administer for Community Based Programs and Field Services), and Valorie Bendixen (District Court Trial Services Director).

The County Court Judges’ Summer Conference was held June 22-24 in downtown Lincoln. Invited speakers included attorney John Zimmer, Chris Aupperle (Assistance Program Director of NSBA), Richard Mangrum (Creighton Law Professor), attorney Gail Steen, and Jeanne Brandner (Deputy Probation Administrator).

Both conferences were hosted by Judicial Branch Education who also provided technology support which included an online option for speakers and participants to attend the conference virtually via Webex.
