Visit to the Problem-Solving Court in Aurora - Day one, visit one of the Chief Justice’s Summer Tour 2017
The first stop on the Chief Justice’s Summer Tour included a visit with participants in the Problem-Solving Court in Aurora with Judge Rachel Daugherty.
When introducing the Problem-Solving Court participants to visitors, Judge Daugherty remarked, “It is a group that I am so proud of…their accomplishments are just incredible.” Problem-Solving Court Participants sat in the well of the courtroom with Chief Justice Heavican and Justice Cassel to talk about their experiences with the court system and review their recovery.
After each participant talked about their background and experience, Judge Daugherty noted that all participants are “good people who do good things in their community.”
In summing up the experience, Chief Justice Heavican noted that he wanted to not only thank Judge Daugherty, but also law enforcement, the county attorney, defense attorneys, and members of the Aurora community who have joined to together to make the Problem-Solving Court successful.
