Wedige Named President of the Heartland Juvenile Services Association

The Heartland Juvenile Services Association elected Jerid Wedige, Judicial Branch Education Director of Probation Education, as president. His term began in May 2024 and will run through May 2025.

The association's mission is to enable juvenile service providers, justice system members, and personnel of juvenile detention centers, correctional facilities, staff secure programs, group homes, emergency shelters, and other facilities throughout the heartland to collaborate. These efforts aim to strengthen and improve residential and community-based services for youth and their families through best practices.

As president, Wedige is actively involved in planning the annual conference which brings together professionals from various disciplines and agencies to provide uniform education regarding services for youth and their families.
