What is Law Day?
Law Day is held on May 1st every year to celebrate the role of law in our society and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the legal profession.
In honor of the day, the Nebraska Supreme Court will travel to McCook to hold oral arguments at the high school and participate in special programming with local judges.
Throughout the state, trial court judges and Judicial Branch staff will celebrate Law Day through 5th Grade Job Shadow programming. Watch the newsletter and social media for this year’s featured program in District Court Judge Rachel Daugherty’s courtroom where students will participate in a mock trial involving Harry Potter.
