Chief Probation Officer Lori Griggs to Retire December 10

Lancaster County Chief Juvenile Probation Officer Lori Griggs will retire effective December 10, 2021. She leaves the Judicial Branch with just over 32 years of service.

Griggs began work with the Judicial Branch as a probation officer on November 15, 1989. She was later appointed as Chief Deputy before being named Chief on December 2, 1999. 

“Lori has been one the primary faces of Juvenile Justice in Lancaster County and the State of Nebraska for more than 30 years. Her dedication to the youth and families of Nebraska has been a driving force in her life and in the efforts she has led during her career,” noted Probation Administrator Deb Minardi. “Lori, Thank you for your service to the probation system and the Judicial Branch.”
