A-17-361, Benjamin J. Schmeidler (Appellant) v. Jessica F. Schmeidler
Clay County, Judge Vicky L. Johnson
Attorney for Appellant: Scott D. Grafton (Grafton Law Office, P.C., L.L.O.)
Attorney for Appellee: Benjamin H. Murray (Germer, Murray & Johnson)
Civil Action: Dissolution of marriage
Action Taken by Trial Court: The district court dissolved the parties’ marriage, awarded custody of their minor child, and divided the marital property.
Assignments of Error on Appeal: On appeal, Benjamin assigns that the district court erred in (1) failing to adopt his proposed parenting plan, (2) impermissibly delegated to Jessica the authority to unilaterally suspend his parenting time, (3) adopting Jessica’s proposed parenting plan which provides that the minor child shall have no contact with certain family members, (4) adopting Jessica’s parenting plan which requires that he provide all transportation for visitation with the minor child, (5) adopting Jessica’s parenting plan which creates ambiguity as to the duration of the Christmas holiday, (6) adopting Jessica’s parenting plan which grants him only two weeks of summer parenting time, and (7) determining the classification and valuation of certain assets and debts of the parties and ordering him to pay an equalization payment of $5,000.
