S-23-0845 Sarah A. Backhaus (Appellant) v. David R. Backhaus (Appellee)
Appeal from the District Court for Douglas County, Judge James M. Masteller
Attorneys: Lindsay Belmont (Nebraska Legal Group for Appellant) and Liam K. Meehan (Higgins Law for Appellee)
Civil: Decree of dissolution of marriage
Proceedings Below: The Nebraska Court of Appeals affirmed, in part, and reversed, in part, a decree of dissolution of marriage. Appellee filed a petition for further review, which the Nebraska Supreme Court sustained and transferred this case from the docket of the Nebraska Court of Appeals to its docket.
Issues: On petition for further review, Appellee makes the following assignment of error: 1) The Court of Appeals erred when it found that the trial court abused its discretion in excluding inheritance from the marital estate by failing to give proper deference to credibility findings made by the trial court.
