Attorneys: Kelly T. Shattuck (Vacanti ǀ Shattuck ǀ Finocchiaro for Appellant) and Joshua D. Barber (Barber & Barber, P.C., L.L.O. for Appellee)
Civil: Dissolution of marriage and property division
Proceedings Below: The district court entered a decree of dissolution of marriage that divided assets, awarded spousal support, and awarded attorney fees. On its own motion, the Supreme Court ordered this case to be transferred from the docket of the Court of Appeals to its docket.
Issues: Appellant makes the following assignment of error: 1) The district court abused its discretion when it decided each party is entitled to one-half (1/2) of the equity in the Appellant’s premarital home.
Appellee makes the following assignments of error on cross-appeal: 1) The district court abused its discretion by only awarding alimony in the amount of $450 per month for 24 months; and 2) The district court abused its discretion by not ordering Appellant to pay Appellee’s attorney fees.
