Proceedings Below: The county court entered a formal order for complete settlement of the decedent’s estate, and approximately four (4) months later, the decedent’s personal representative filed a motion to approve fees, which the county court denied. On its own motion, the Supreme Court ordered this case to be transferred from the docket of the Court of Appeals to its docket.
Issues: Appellant makes the following assignment of error: 1) The trial court committed reversible error, in relying on In re Estate of Filsinger, 29 Neb. App. 809 (2021) in determining that the October 12, 2022, formal order restricted the county court from allowing the personal representative, Bechtold, to receive a fee for his services.
