Proceedings below: The Board of Mental Health declined to remove Appellant’s firearm disability pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 71-963, and on appeal, the district court affirmed. Appellant filed a petition to bypass the Court of Appeals, which the Supreme Court granted and ordered this case to be transferred to its docket.
Issues: Appellant makes the following assignments of error: 1) The district court’s order affirming the findings of the Mental Health Board was in error; and 2) The district court’s order finding that the Nebraska Mental Health Commitment Act, including Neb. Rev. Stat. § 71-963 constitutional was in error.
