Proceedings below: Appellant was convicted of two counts of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Protected Person and was sentenced to consecutive terms of eighteen (18) to twenty (20) years in prison. Appellee filed a Petition to Bypass the Court of Appeals, which the Supreme Court granted and ordered that this case to be transferred to its docket.
Issues: Appellant makes the following assignment of error: 1) The district court erroneously sentenced Appellant. The terms of imprisonment exceed Neb. Rev. Stat. § 83-1,110 (Supp. 2023).
