Gray, 307 Neb. 418, 949 N.W.2d 320 (2020). Subsequently, Appellant sought postconviction relief alleging ineffective assistance of counsel, which the trial court overruled without an evidentiary hearing. Life imprisonment cases are automatic appeals to the Nebraska Supreme Court
