Recognizing that lack of technology equipment and connectivity would quickly become a problem in Lancaster County during COVID, District Court Administrator Jared Gavin began ordering equipment for all facets of the work of the district court. In addition to assisting his court, he helped the jail, the county court, and the clerks’ offices on several levels. His “get it done” attitude is evidenced in a local news article on March 19, 2020, saying, “If we have to hold court with a court reporter at their house, and a judge at their house, and the defendant at their house, we’re going to figure it out.”
