Juvenile Services Division 6th Annual Artwork Contest

Juvenile Services Division 6th Annual Artwork Contest

The Juvenile Services Division of the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation continues to promote creativity of youth placed on probation through an annual artwork contest.  Youth from across the state were hard at work creating and submitting their artistic creations as a testament to their own personal journey.  The artwork is submitted and used in print and display pieces throughout the year, paying tribute to the dedication and courage of their creators.

The artwork contest has been supported by judiciary and probation officers across the state as they encourage youth to create inspirational artwork.  The 2021 contest marks the sixth year of the contest and there were 22 submissions this year.  The youth who are inspired can receive artwork supplies to support their submission and the winning first, second and third place youth receive a ribbon and incentive recognition.

The winning works are displayed on the front of the Judicial Branch Website and are also on display in the Juvenile Services Division office.  All of the artwork can be seen on the following link: https://supremecourt.nebraska.gov/2021-art-contest .

The first place winner for the 2021 artwork contest was Maribel from judicial district #5, she was placed on probation by Judge Andrew Lange.
