Language Access Teams up to Offer Interpreter Resources Across State

The Language Access team has seen some changes in the past year. Coordinator Adrian Hinojosa offices in Douglas County; Interpreter Scheduler Kari Corkle is in Lancaster County; and Interpreter Scheduler Veronica Wieczorek assumed her position in Hall County effective July 11. Olivia Brockman, previously a contract Interpreter Coordinator serving the 2nd Judicial District, will be employed by the Judicial Branch to provide statewide support effective September 1, 2022.

Coordinators and schedulers can assist the courts and probation in scheduling interpreters to assist either onsite or remotely. Interpreter Coordinators Hinojosa and Brockman are Certified Spanish Interpreters who can interpret as well as schedule interpreters for other language needs. Interpreter Schedulers are not interpreters, but coordinate and schedule interpreters for all languages.

Hiring for the Language Access Director is currently underway. Trial Court Services Director Sheryl Connolly has been appointed interim Language Access Director until that position is filled.

Requests for interpreters can be sent to nsc.interpreters@nebraska.gov and should include the following information to allow the Language Access team to meet your interpreter needs quickly and efficiently:
