Nebraska Supreme to Hold Court Session Through Teleconference

Nebraska Supreme to Hold Court Session Through Teleconference

Because the health and safety of all court users and court staff is a priority, the Nebraska Supreme Court will conduct oral arguments through the use of technology for cases listed on the April Call.

Nebraska Educational Television will broadcast the Chief Justice from the Courtroom as usual; the remainder of the Justices, as well as the attorneys, will participate in oral arguments by telephone. Audio of all proceedings conducted in this manner will be available through Nebraska Educational Television. Cases in which counsel have chosen to waive oral argument shall be submitted to the Court without oral argument.

The Nebraska Supreme Court is committed to providing continual access to the courts. Through the use of technology, courts are able to remain open and available to the public so that no person is deprived of his or her constitutional rights.

Court arguments can be viewed live from Nebraska Educational Television’s Live & On Demand: State Government website.
