Office of Public Guardian Launches Holiday Card Drive

The Office of Public Guardian (OPG) is launching a holiday card drive to spread a little holiday cheer to the people they serve. Many of their clients have been isolated since March to combat the spread of COVID-19. Nursing homes, assisted livings, homeless shelters, and other congregate living settings continue to have strict restrictions. Currently, the office serves as guardian and/or conservator for just shy of 300 people.
 
The OPG invites individuals to send cards, treats, or trinkets to the OPG office. Make it a “challenge” within work groups to see who can send the most cards. Share this post with civic or church groups.

Please write a little note of encouragement or sketch a holiday scene. Help to combat the isolation and loneliness of being “cooped up” during the holidays and COVID-19!
