B. Part-time

B. Part-time

Part-time employees work fewer hours than full-time employees on an ongoing, continuous basis. Work schedules may fluctuate by week, month, or season. FTE status will be computed based on average hours-worked over a 6-month period. Only part-time employees working 50 percent or more of the FTE are eligible for insurance benefits. Permanent part-time employees who work more than 30 hours a week are considered full time for health insurance benefits. Permanent part-time employees who work less than 30 hours but at least 20 hours per week can utilize State benefits. For health insurance, for those employees working less than 30 hours per week, the Judicial Branch’s contribution to premiums is prorated.
