42. Resignations
To resign in good standing, an employee must give written notice to his/her supervisor at least 10 workdays before separation, unless otherwise agreed. In the absence of notice to a supervisor, the AOCP can receive a notice of resignation on the supervisor’s behalf. The employee’s failure to inform the immediate supervisor may be counted as an improper resignation and may affect eligibility for future rehiring with the Judicial Branch. The employee is expected to still inform their supervisor at the earliest time possible.
