Freudenberg was appointed to Nebraska Supreme Court on July 6, 2018, to replace recently deceased Justice John F. Wright. In noting the legacy of Justice Wright, Freudenberg remarked, “He was a tremendous judge. He set a high standard for me to pursue and I’m incredibly excited and humbled to now follow in those footsteps. I assure everyone that I will do my best to fulfill the expectations you have for me to do this job.”
