2024 Annual Report Released by Office of Public Guardian
The Office of Public Guardian has issued its 2024 Annual Report, outlining information about the individuals served and programs hosted through the Nebraska Judicial Branch.
In addition to the specific data regarding the number of individuals served, types of guardianship/conservatorship cases, capacity of the Office to serve, and status of its waiting list, readers will find two examples of how guardianship can protect and advocate for a restoration of rights with less restrictive alternatives to guardianship. The report strives to give voice to experiences of some of Nebraska’s most vulnerable people.

Nebraska Revised Statute § 30-4111 requires the Nebraska Office of Public Guardian to report to the Chief Justice and the Legislature on or before January 1st of each year. This is the ninth report by the OPG providing updated, annual information covering November 1, 2023, through October 31, 2024.
