LINCOLN -- According to Supreme Court Justice Stephanie F. Stacy, the Judicial Nominating Commission for Supreme Court Judge in the 5th Judicial District will hold a public hearing in the District Courtroom at the York ­­­­County Courthouse, 510 Lincoln Avenue, in York, Nebraska, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. At the hearing, the Commission will receive information on the qualifications of candidates to fill the vacancy in the office of Supreme Court Judge due to the retirement of Judge William M. Connolly effective August 1, 2016. The public is welcome to attend the hearing and present information concerning candidates for the judicial opening.
