In its 42nd appearance at the College of Law, the Nebraska Supreme Court was invited to hear oral arguments followed by a student question-and-answer period.

On March 30, 2022, the Court heard four cases in the law school courtroom, making the Court’s business accessible to law students on campus.

For over 40 years, the Nebraska Supreme Court has held oral argument sessions at the Creighton University School of Law. Over the years, argument sessions have moved from fall to spring. The October 2, 1979, edition of the Omaha World-Herald announced the Court’s first session visit with the headline, “State Supreme Court to Hold Sessions Here!”

Case types argued include appealing an excessive sentence handed down by a district court, an unjust enrichment claim, complaint for grandparent visitation, and an appeal of a sexual assault sentence.
