The Nebraska Judicial Branch, through the Administrative Office of the Courts & Probation (AOCP), has officially issued the Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Cloud-Based Power BI Reporting Platform. This initiative is seeking qualified technology vendors to support the development and implementation of a modern cloud-based data integration and reporting environment.

Chief Justice Funke to Lead 2025 Summer Tour of Southwest Nebraska
Chief Justice Jeffrey Funke and participating justices of the Nebraska Supreme Court will take part in the 2025 Summer Tour from August 11-13, traveling through the southwest region of the state. Continuing a valued Court tradition, the justices will visit communities outside of Lincoln to strengthen relationships with local judges, court and probation staff, and observe programs and services that impact Nebraskans at the local level.

The Nebraska State Patrol and Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles are warning about a scam that is targeting numerous Nebraskans.
The scam involves a text message purportedly from the Nebraska DMV claiming that the recipient has unpaid traffic fines and that several penalties are possible unless the recipient clicks a link to pay the supposed fines. None of these text messages are legitimate.

Judge Bishop Inspires Future Leaders at Girls State with Insights from the Bench and the Classroom
Nebraska Court of Appeals Judge Riko Bishop returned to the place where her own journey in civic leadership began—the American Legion Auxiliary Nebraska Cornhusker Girls State program. Judge Bishop, who participated in Girls State in 1973, met with five students appointed as judges to the Nebraska Court of Appeals for an engaging and educational conversation about Nebraska’s judicial branch.
Proclamation Announcing Probation Supervision Week
The Supreme Court will hold a proclamation ceremony on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. to announce the celebration of Nebraska Probation Week: July 21-25, 2025. The Judicial Branch ceremony will be held and streamed live from the courtroom in the State Capitol.

Supreme Court Draws Unprecedented Student Turnout at Kearney High
A record-setting number of students gathered in the Kearney High School auditorium on April 29, 2025, to observe the Nebraska Supreme Court in action during its annual Law Day session. This marked the Court’s first-ever visit to Kearney High, made possible by an invitation from Principal Jeff Ganz.
Nearly 600 students from Kearney were joined by 70 Minden High School seniors, along with several dozen community members, as the auditorium transformed into a temporary courtroom.
