The Nebraska Supreme Court approved and adopted changes to the county court waiver/fine schedule on December 9, 2020. Click to view: https://supremecourt.nebraska.gov/sites/default/files/ch6art14app6.pdf The only changes made to the waiver schedule were statutes referenced under the Department of Agriculture section. Statutes in this section were changed under LB344, which went into effect in November, 2020. Clerk Magistrates are asked to inform law enforcement agencies of the schedule changes.Read more

Former Chief Justice C Thomas White, Omaha, died December 11, 2020, at the age of 92. In 1965, C. Thomas White was appointed to the Nebraska District Court in Columbus, NE. In 1976, he was appointed to the Nebraska Supreme Court and sat as a judge on that court until 1994. Judge Ben Novicoff, Lincoln, former judge of the Workers' Compensation Court, died December 1, 2020, at the age of 99. Appointed as Judge of Nebraska Workmens' Compensation Court on February 1, 1955, by Governor Victor Anderson to fill an unexpired term and reappointed to full terms in 1958 by Governor Anderson and in 1964 by Governor Frank Morrison.
